Do you know if they will add this treatment to the halo app? I’d obviously prefer not to buy another product but will send this to my niece who certainly doesn’t need the lifting features of the halo!

Also - I bought the halo recently based on your newsletters and while I loved the results I had a pretty immediate skin reaction which I think must be due to the gel…whatever came standard with the tool. I started and finished with Sofie Pavitt cleanser and used alcohol wipes to clean the halo after every use… am I missing a step? Do you think any of the gels would be better than others? Thank you!!!

Good question! I haven’t been told anything about adding this one to the app, but I assume it’s not out of the question. I don’t think it would be seen as making the DOT obsolete or vice versa since the DOT is very convenience/on the go/spot treatment focused so it’s still a different use case. But you could do the problem solver setting and then founders favorite (even just for a few minutes) to sort of replicate the DOT on certain spots. Great great option for your niece!!! I think it’s a perfect device for younger people who are device curious but don’t need the big guns yet.

Hmmm by immediate reaction, like as soon as you’ve fully washed the gel off? Does it subside? Do you have super sensitive skin or any known allergies? Nothing else is on your face when using right? Just cleanse then gel? Do you feel like you’re using enough gel? Sorry a million questions but lots of variables it could be! The gel it comes with is considered the simplest and good for highly reactive skin since there are no active ingredients, but you could also try the Silver Gel, which is also designed for more sensitive & problematic skin with the addition of some anti-inflammatory and calming ingredients.

If you don’t have an active breakout but have a known problem area that’s prone to them can the halo be used as prevention on a regular basis or is it more for if you start to feel or notice a breakout/ pimple coming?

It’s most noticeable/impactful imo when you start to feel one coming, but it can definitely be part of your prevention on a regular basis, since it’s helping to quell bacteria growth! But would more likely be part of your prevention toolkit rather than the only thing, like it’s just one of the things I use. That being said, I know Melanie Simon (the founder of ZIIP) is very acne prone and the Problem Solver was kind of her solution to managing breakouts. So could be enough for you if you’re consistent with it!
