Hello!
Hope you’re having a nice Thursday. Thank you all again for filling out my survey. I’m looking forward to sharing some more paying-subscriber only perks soon, but for now I’d like to introduce you to the first official midweek update! Many subscribers suggested weekly/biweekly dispatches with mini product reviews or roundups of things I’m loving, eyeing or learning about. The content may vary, but I can guarantee this will only arrive in your inboxes on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. You know, the middle of the week! To start us off, I thought I’d share a few recent product discoveries I think you should know about.
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright+ Eye Crème: I wasn’t a huge fan of the original version of this product – it was too thick and contrary to its purpose, creased under makeup. However, ol’ Ole and his team worked some magic and this newly formulated version is just what I wanted. A long-standing makeup artist trick is using banana powder – loose, yellow-tinted powders – to color correct and illuminate areas of the face, like undereyes. Inspired by this concept, Banana Bright+ is slightly yellow/orange tinted to correct blue/purple tones under the eyes (color correcting is using complementary colors to cancel out each other). This eye cream illuminates and brightens both instantly and overtime, with a trio of vitamin C and antioxidants. You can use it alone or wear under concealer. See my results below!
