Hello!
Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving with loved ones, eating leftovers while shopping deals or just having a regular Saturday, I hope it’s extra great. The only thing I love more than shopping for myself is shopping for others. Giving excellent gifts is one of my superpowers. I also love deals and sitting on my couch, so this time of year was basically made for me to thrive. I don’t, however, like having my inbox skyrocket into the hundreds so I waffled a bit about sending a gift guide at all until my friend Sam said that I absolutely should and in this house, we listen to Sam, so here you go: a quick and easy guide of actually great gifts for yourself and others (except for me, I already have these things!) They’re mostly skin related, but not exclusively. Most of these sales are ending within the next day or two, so I would get shopping!
xoxo,
Jolie
Experiment
What’s the deal: 25% off 2 products (convenient because you need exactly 2 products to make this gift worth giving)
What to get: Avant Guard Reusable Silicone Mask + Super Saturated Serum
Who it’s for: skincare lovers who have everything already, anyone who wouldn’t mind wearing a neon green mask for 10-15 minutes, or who likes supporting small businesses
Why it made the cut: you can use the serum as a standalone, but the magic happens when you put 3 pumps of 30% glycerin gloopy goodness on your skin, apply the mask and let yourself marinate. You’ll be dewy, plump and ready for makeup (or not).
Tatcha
What’s the deal: 25% off sitewide with CYBER22
What to get: Calming & Soothing Trio
Who it’s for: skincare lovers who have everything already, anyone who would mind wearing a neon green mask for 10-15 minutes, people with sensitive skin, moms, teachers and mom-or-teacher-type people
Why it made the cut: includes my very favorite Tatcha product that everyone can and should try (Indigo Overnight Repair), an amazing luxe hand cream and a mini exfoliating polish to calm and glow. Great products for a wide variety of skin types in a very giftable package.
Carepod Humidifier
What’s the deal: varies on product, use JOLDEF or YAYCAREPOD for additional discounts (they don’t always work together, but try both)
What to get: the humidifier that best fits the space it’s for
Who it’s for: literally anyone that wouldn’t mind being given an appliance that lives somewhere that gets cold or dry
Why it made the cut: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (and again): everyone needs a humidifier in the winter to replenish the moisture artificial heating sucks up. Never wake up with a sore throat again and your skin will be extremely happy. I have 2 of the Carepod One’s, but they have both a larger and smaller version for different sized spaces. They’re super easy to sterilize, never get moldy and require no filter replacing.
Hotel Lobby Candle
What’s the deal: Holiday Collection Trio (Cabin, Chalet and Holiday) for $149 (valued at $171)
Who it’s for: anyone who likes candles, anyone with allergies who in theory would like candles or likes supporting small businesses
Why it made the cut: In the past month, I’ve gone from not caring at all about candles to owning 8 of these and attending a holiday pop-up with the founder (where I also picked up the Wick Trimmer and Snuffer, which are excellent gift additions or non-candle gifts for candle people). These candles have never bothered Alex’s allergies and he genuinely likes them. All of the Holiday scents are divine. They never, ever go on sale, so probably get a set for yourself too.
Kate McLeod Moisturizing Body Stone
What’s the deal: 20% off $75+
What to get: I’m partial to the Naked Stone, but pick the scent that fits the person
Who it’s for: anyone into self care, rituals, sustainability, supporting small, women-owned businesses, body products, earthy/natural things, good gift givers you’re worried about disappointing, pregnant folks or new parents
Why it made the cut: These solid moisturizing stones warm up in your hands so that you can glide them along your skin. They’re nourishing, come in a variety of scents and in an ultra-giftable and refillable wooden box. This is the type of gift that wows the unimpressible.
Nécessaire
What’s the deal: free Body Serum with all orders, free Body Oil with $125+, use JOLIE10 for 10% off
What to get: Hand Cream
Who it’s for: teachers, friends, family, yourself, stocking stuffers, coworkers, anyone with hands, anyone who would look at a solid moisturizing body stone and say “not for me!”
Why it made the cut: every year instead of a Black Friday deal, Necessaire gives a full size Body Serum with every purchase, no minimum. The Body Serum is a generously sized, fast-absorbing hyaluronic acid serum for your body that plumps, restores and ups your body lotion game. It’s their bestseller for a reason. It’s fragrance-free and you can even use it on your face, making it a great gift for really low-maintenance people. Last year, I thought I was being sneaky because I purchased The Hand Cream ($12) in order to get the free Body Serum ($45) but little did I know I was actually buying the best hand cream in the world that I would go on to repurchase multiple times. Like The Body Serum, the Hand Cream is fast-absorbing, nourishing, filled with peptides, vitamins and other things your hands need.
Pro tip: They currently have a Hand Cream Duo for $30. If you buy 5 duos & use my code JOLIE10, you’ll get the free Body Serum, Body Oil (worth $85) and have 10 gifts for $135.
Merit Signature Lightweight Lipstick
What’s the deal: 20% off sitewide, first order comes with the Signature Bag (I literally used as my purse for Thanksgiving, it’s a great little bag!)
What to get: my favorite shades are Cabo, Baby and Tiger
Who it’s for: anyone who likes an easy, sheer, moisturizing, buildable lipstick
Why it made the cut: this is one of my favorite lipstick formulas ever and a pretty easy crowd pleaser for anyone who likes makeup. It’s foolproof and has added ingredients to help soften lips and reduce the look of lines.
Pro tip: If you’re shopping for someone who likes more traditional fuller-bodied lipstick or is a fan of a true red, I cannot recommend Lisa Eldrige’s True Velvet Lip Color enough. Velvet Ribbon is the *perfect* red and deceptively easy to wear. It also has extraordinary staying power, which makes sense if you know anything about celebrity makeup artist Lisa Eldridge. The other colors are great too if Velvet Ribbon is too much. She never has sales, including right now, but it is worth the price if you’re looking for a gift for a lipstick lover.
CurrentBody Face & Neck LED Kit
What’s the deal: 15% off the LED Face Mask and Neck & Decollete LED, plus additional 15% off with JOLIE15 which saves you exactly $200
Who it’s for: anyone serious about anti-aging, anyone that’s been wanting an LED but not sure about the best one, anyone deserving of a $519 gift
Why it made the cut: a high quality LED is one of the best skincare gifts you can get! When it comes to LED, price really does correlate with efficacy and CurrentBody is one of my top recommendations. If you (or your giftee) can commit to using it 3-5x week, you will notice a tremendous difference in the firmness and resilience of your skin. You can also use the flexible Neck LED anywhere else on your body, like your hands or on bruises to speed up healing. JOLIE15 works on most, but not all, products on the site if you don’t want to get the whole set, but not everything is already included in their sale.
SKIMS Slouch Socks
What’s the deal: there isn’t one anymore, but they’re worth the full $16
Who it’s for: anyone who likes cozy things, stocking stuffers, secret santa, teens you want to impress, anyone that Keeps Up
Why it made the cut: while her skincare is nothing to write home about, Kim Kardashian knows clothes. Specifically, basics. Specifically, these socks. They’re perfect and slouchy while still being fitted and work with boots or just around the house. You know you’re going to give someone socks for the holidays, so you might as well give them socks they don’t already have that also make them feel more positively about the Kardashians. (Tons of SKIMS is on sale though and trust me, it’s great.)
